My Story

Straight after school, I started my 4 year electrical apprenticeship - I learnt a huge amount and it’s a solid skill to have (with the added bonus of no student loan)

While doing my apprenticeship during the day, I’d spend my evenings and weekends learning how to code - which eventually turned into building websites for tradespeople and topped up my income

After qualifying as an electrician and spending a few self-employed years on the tools, I took a short detour into a web design agency - which quickly opened the door to my next step as eCommerce manager at Sophie Allport

At Sophie Allport, it wasn’t all coding and spreadsheets - I even had a very short-lived stint as a sock model

But apparently, my modelling career peaked at ankles

The eCommerce and Marketing teams at Sophie Allport kept things running full-time during lockdown, but all those hours indoors gave me a little extra time to purchase a new guitar (learn some piano) and relive my teenage rockstar dreams

After eight years at Sophie Allport - growing the eCommerce team to five and leaving as Head of eCommerce - it felt like the right moment to set off under my own steam again

An exciting but unnerving time - with a mortgage, a car loan, and all the “adulting” responsibilities, it felt risky, but I had savings, industry contacts, and the confidence that I could make it work

I stepped into my YouTube and community-building era, putting myself out there online - building the skills, insights, and strategies that now help businesses like yours grow and thrive
